How it works

1. Add your programs

Choose the airline and hotel programs you use. Your choices are constraints, not suggestions: every recommendation works inside them first.

2. Add balances and status if you want

Balances, tiers, progress and goals are all optional and entered by hand. We never ask for a loyalty password, a bank login or access to your inbox.

3. Get your best moves

Each Best Move is one of a small set of actions: Use points, Pay cash, Split, Hold, Register, Earn more, Status, Set alert or Review transfer. Every one comes with its reason, the program it affects, the arithmetic where there is any, and when the underlying rule was last verified.

Where the rules come from

Program rules are structured data researched from each program’s official pages. Every material rule records its official source, the date we checked it, the markets it applies to and the dates it is valid. If we have not verified a rule, the product says so. When a recommendation cannot be made confidently, you will see Not enough verified information yet rather than a guess.

How money is made, and what it never changes

Points Dynasty is free. Some booking links may carry an affiliate commission. The engine ranks outcomes for you first, and only afterwards checks whether a link happens to be available. If the best option earns us nothing, it is still shown first. Some booking links may earn Points Dynasty a commission. Commission never changes recommendation ranking.

What we value, and what we do not

We only put a cash figure on benefits that avoid a real fee, such as a checked bag or breakfast. Lounge access, late checkout and upgrades are worth what they are worth to you, so you set those values, or they stay unpriced. We never present a points valuation as objective truth.
